Event organizers successfully applied and have been granted by the Cambridgeshire County Council permission ( Ref: EVENTS/2024/60) to place Stop/Go boards upon the public highway between 09:30 and 13:30 on Sunday 14th April to facilitate the safe holding of the traffic management for the Northstowe Half Marathon and Acorn 5K.

Between 09.30 and 13.30, to provide a safe passage for runners, the traffic will be stopped (except for blue lights) at the following road crossings while runners are crossing the road:

  • Sterling Road (by Linden Homes sales office)
  • Wellington Road (by the greenway)
  • Rampton Road (adjacent to Magdalene Close)
  • St. Michaels Road (adjacent to Wilson’s Road)
  • Northstowe Road (crossing with Longstanton Rd bridleway)

The following residential roads; St Michaels Lane, St Michaels, Wilson’s Road, The Drift and Longstanton Road will remain open to traffic. Please be aware of runners on the side of the road.
