Centre 33 support young people up to the age of 25 in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough with their practical issues and emotional needs.

Our services are ‘open access, which means they are available to all young people across the county. They are also free and confidential. Young people can refer themselves, and they do not need an appointment to get support. They can drop into one of our five hubs, or contact us by text, phone, email, and social media through our helpline, which is open six days a week.

Young people can talk to us about anything -mental health, housing, homelessness, employment, education, finances, sexual health, caring responsibilities, and much more. We provide holistic support and work with young people to develop a plan to meet their needs, this could include specialist support such as counselling, around housing, education, or employment, or for young carers.

The need for our services from young people is growing and the demand often exceeds our capacity. This has been exacerbated by the Covid-19 outbreak. We are seeing increases in levels of anxiety and greater mental health needs presented by those young people who are contacting us.

Half of all mental health conditions are established before the age of 14.

We know that the right help at the right time can stop problems escalating, which is why it is important that Centre 33 is able to provide timely support to all young people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Please support us in making sure that young people have someone they can talk to.

Centre 33 was established in 1981 and since then has worked directly with approximately 40,000 young people. Each year, we work with over 2,500 young people and reach many more.

“I want to tell all other young people that there is help. I didn’t think there was anything for me but it has given me my life back. I don’t want other young people to go through what I did. I want them to know there is someone they can talk to and it can really help.” Young person supported by Centre 33
